It is with the deepest regret that I heard of the death of Jim Doddington, at his home in Kaldenkirchen, Germany, on May 27th. Many drivers will recall Jim during his long service in the R.A.F. but few more than his colleagues on 317 M.T. Squadron where he had became a legend.
After leaving the R.A.F. Jim returned to Germany with his wife Susie and their family and Jim went to work with Frans Maas, where he became a transport manager. His many friends will be shocked and saddened at his death following a long fight with cancer, which we all at one time, thought he had defeated.
Our condolences go to Susie and the family and may Jim rest in peace.
